Samantha Dow-Hankerson

At a young age, Samantha understood first impressions and behavior had an enormous impact on society, relationships and success in every area of life. Before Samantha was 25 years old, she worked for the Commission on the Status of Women in Greensboro NC, House of Representatives-Speaker’s Office in Washington DC and New York Department of Human Resources Administration. Samantha has distinguished herself as a woman of grace, intelligence and a passionate constant professional in the public and private sectors.

Due to these exposures, years of charm school, 20 years combination of being a college professor, advisor, coordinator, mentor, coach, city elected official and a certified etiquette trainer, Samantha Dow-Hankerson established Higher Etiquette & Mentoring Institute in January 2010.

Samantha believes the rules of etiquette benefit society as a whole.

“A polite society promotes safe living and ensures a pleasant experience for all when there is an agreement upon structure in our lives. Each generation would benefit from learning and internalizing the practices and behavior associated with proper etiquette. Etiquette creates a society that is civil and thoughtful. It is everyone right to live in a polite society. A polite society creates better mannered, tolerant and kind citizens. Therefore it is everyone's responsibility to "Take the Step toward the BEST You"!
